Prayer of the Upcoming Election:
Lord God, you call your people to honor those in authority. Guide us with wisdom and discernment as we vote in the upcoming election. Help us elect trustworthy leaders, participate in wise decisions for our common life, and serve our neighbors here, near and afar. Make us, who have come from many nations with many languages, a united people that honors our differences. Grant us wisdom to defend our liberties and give those whom we have entrusted with authority the spirit of wisdom, that there might be justice and peace in our land.
Help us to be at peace among ourselves. Amen
