Nativity members responded with awesome generosity to a donation call for household and personal care items to support new residents of a recently opened affordable housing complex in Minneapolis.
Four carloads of goods were taken to New Branches in Minneapolis, where they were combined with other churches’ donations and delivered as move-in kits to Bimosedaa in the warehouse district. Residents began moving into the 48 units of Bimosedaa on Dec. 29.
Bimosedaa, meaning “Let’s Walk Together” in Ojibwe, was a response to the eviction by Minneapolis city officials of the Wall of Forgotten Natives homeless encampment in 2018. Residents are referred by the Red Lake Nation and Hennepin County.
Nativity’s Beacon Leadership Team says thank you to members for their incredible response!
