Hunger Outreach Team

The Hunger Community Outreach Team recognizes and responds to the reality that many people are unable to acquire sufficient food to meet basic nutritional needs. This team increases awareness and understanding of hunger and food security in our community.

BREAD FOR THE WORLD

www.bread.org

This Mission Partner is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. By changing policies, programs, and condition that allow hunger and poverty to persist, the organization provides help and opportunity far beyond the communities where we live.

Nativity volunteers assist the Nativity Community in a letter writing campaign and contacting congressional representatives to influence decisions relating to hunger. In 2017 Nativity members drafted and mailed more than 150 letters which resulted in a significant impact on persons who are hungry.
