The NATIVITY COMMUNITY OUTREACH TEAMS engage members of the Nativity Community in justice, outreach, and service opportunities. We can make a bigger impact together!
Nativity Lutheran Church has seven Outreach Teams made of Mission Partners, Outreach Ministries, and Social Justice groups with a common theme or social concern. All of our NATIVITY COMMUNITY OUTREACH TEAMS are committed to:

Racial Equity and Justice Ministry Team
Our mission is to listen, educate, and advocate to recognize and eliminate racism in institutions of society including our church, community, and country.
We envision racial equity and justice for all God’s children.

Hunger Outreach Team
The Hunger Community Outreach Team recognizes and responds to the reality the many people are unable to acquire sufficient food to meet basic nutritional needs. This team increases awareness and understanding of hunger and food security in our community.

Homelessness Outreach Team
The Nativity Community has a “Heart” for homelessness. The Homelessness Community Outreach Team recognizes and responds to the reality that many people are unable to acquire and maintain regular, safe and adequate housing. The purpose of this team is to increase awareness among our community on issues around homelessness and affordable housing as well as provide opportunities for Nativity members to get involved in hands on action and education events.

Sustainability/Environment Outreach Team
“Care for creation”
This team recognizes and responds to the need for responsible interaction within our environment. The team will promote local initiatives and actions that create and maintain conditions leading to long term environmental quality. These efforts demonstrate our Biblical call to care for creation and live sustainably.

This team seeks to position Nativity Lutheran Church as of beacon of hope in our community, promoting intercultural and interfaith understanding and collaborating with others to eliminate racial and religious bias.
