The Racial Equity and Justice Ministry Team (REJM) is bringing back the monthly movie night after the pandemic hiatus. We’re experimenting with new days and times now, including Saturday evening after the 5:30 service and Sunday after the 10:30 service. A light meal will be available before the movie with a short debriefing after the movie.
The first movie will be Just Mercy on Saturday, August 10, at 6:30, with a second showing on Sunday, August 18, at 11:30. Just Mercy is a 2019 American biographical legal drama about Bryan Stevenson who represents poor people on death row in the South. His work led to establishing the Equal Justice Initiative human rights organization in Montgomery, Alabama.
