March is Hunger and Food Outreach Month at Nativity! It’s also National Hunger Awareness Month. In 2024, the Nativity community donated over 1200 pounds of food to our local community in partnership with local area food shelves. Considering the record numbers of people seeking food and support from our local area food shelves now, let’s make 2025 a record year for food and monetary donations to support our neighbors!
Opportunities to Make a Difference This Month:
1. Donate food—fresh or non-perishable—to our Welcome Desk anytime! And you can donate monetarily to support our local area food shelf partners by writing “Hunger and Food” on your donation memo line.
2. Learn about service and volunteer opportunities at the Hunger & Food Outreach Table in the Commons all month. With a dramatic surge in people reaching out for assistance, our Hunger & Food Ministry Partners are looking for additional volunteers to help meet the need of those experiencing food insecurity.
