Jane has worked in the mental health realm for many years. She worked at the primary school level in a Play Therapy program called Primary Project and was a Social/Emotional Learning Coordinator in the Eden Prairie school district. She was a Guardian ad Litem for Hennepin County DCS and worked as an advocate for people experiencing poverty and homelessness through the Dignity Center.
Jane was drawn to the Mental Health Connect Navigator position as the mother of 8 children, two of whom have significant mental health challenges.
Jane said, “I wish MHC had been around when I was searching for help for my family. I didn’t know where to begin and was overwhelmed with the process. Now I feel like I am in a position to help others who may be struggling as I did.”
